The grandchildren of the last Headmaster of Langport Grammar School, Charles Pinton, have donated a box of documents and artefacts relating to the school, which closed in 1933. It contains some Grammar School crockery, a house shield, and brochures from Speech Days and Sports Days for various dates between 1919 and 1932. There is also a bound volume of The Alfredian, the school magazine, from the 1920s.

Most excitingly, there is a school photograph showing the pupils and staff in 1932. Unfortunately, like most of these school photos, it has been rolled up tightly and will need careful handing to restore a good image that we can use.
