Payne's Corner
A correspondent in Sydney, Australia wrote to ask where Payne’s Corner is in Langport, since they couldn’t find it on any modern maps. Their ancestor, John Case, was recorded as living there in the census of 1861. There’s no such address now, but a bit of investigation proved where it was, and what it’s called today.
