Behind Langport Town Hall lies the Town Garden, which was reconstructed and given to the Langport Town Trust by Tesco when they developed their supermarket in North Street. Although small, it has seats and picnic tables, and now several points of interest, namely the Pump that saved Langport, and the interpretation boards about it and about Walter Bagehot.
In 2012 the Town Trust agreed to rename the Town Garden as the Walter Bagehot Town Garden, and commissioned the large interpretation board about Walter Bagehot. You can read more about the board here.
