Comments from some of our happy quizzers:
Just a note to thank you for the pleasure I and my friend, have had in trying to solve the answers to the clues. Sadly too many not solved!! This is the first one I have sent in, but have enjoyed the others too. They certainly activate the old ‘grey matter’. Mine is 86 years old! Many thanks for the challenge, and pleasure it gives.
Can I just say your quizzes are brilliant. It does sound twee but it does bring families together. My 2 children try and out do each other over who gets the best answers, we then look at all our answers and decide which ones we think are best so make it to the official quiz sheet. A neighbour of mine also has a set of questions, subsequently his family and extended family do likewise. Occasionally if any of his family see my 2 you hear “ how many have you got, what do you think of this answer?” I also print out a very large print copy of the quiz for my friend’s partner. She is extremely poorly sighted but with the aid of a magnifying glass she can still be included in our discussions etc. (March 2026)
Thank you for the family fun. Three generations muck in on this one, plus the Thorney residents group on the odd tough one. Great for the community spirit. (February 2026)
