ILLUSTRATED TALK: EXCAVATIONS AT SOMERTON ROAD, LANGPORT
Finding a Roman Villa in the middle of Huish was quite a surprise! Perhaps you were one of the lucky ones who managed to see the dig in progress, but now there is a chance to hear a professional account of what the archaeologists found.
Agata Socha-Paszkiewicz of Thames Valley Archaeological Services will give a talk on ‘The excavation of prehistoric roundhouse, Roman villa with associated landscape and Post-Roman enclosure ditch at the site north of Somerton Road, Langport, Somerset’ .
Talks are free to members. Visitors are very welcome, £4 per person.
