The landscape over which the Battle of Langport was fought in 1645 is largely unchanged today. The trail leaflet will give you a route over public roads and footpaths from which you can see the battlefield and imagine what it was like to see two opposing armies clashing in the fields before you. You can see and download it here.
There is also an account of the battle on the local history interpretation board in the car park at St Mary’s Church, Huish Episcopi. The box contains the leaflets about the battlefield walking trail.
