Our latest quiz, For the Birds, is out now and available in outlets in and around Langport, or you can get one by post. The clues are a mixture of cryptics, anagrams and puns. They are completely original, not from a book or the internet. The answers all relate in some way to birds.
We don’t send out electronic copies of current quizzes, so the only ways to obtain a quiz sheet are as follows:
- Buy one for £1 at a physical venue (Langport Library, Shear Class or Art-Tea-Zen in Langport; Corks at Kelways; The Smokery, Hambridge, Long Sutton Village Shop or Kingsbury Episcopi Community Shop).
- Send us an SAE to Birds Quiz, 46 Garden City, Langport TA10 9SU, together with a cheque for £1 per sheet, made out to LDHS. If you use online banking, you can pay directly in to our LDHS account, number 30536561, sort code 60-12-34, quoting ‘quiz’ as your reference.
- Instead of an SAE, if you use online banking, you can pay £3 directly in to our LDHS account and send us an email giving us your address. Then we will post a quiz sheet out to you. It will cost £3 to send one sheet, £5 for 2 – 3 sheets, or £7 for 4-5 sheets.
The deadline for sending in your completed entries is 31 August, so there’s plenty of time to puzzle the clues out over the summer.
