We had a near-record total of 67 entries. Four entrants got all the answers right, so their names were put in a hat (well, a baseball cap), and the winner whose name was drawn out was Polly Helliar, of Fivehead. The three unlucky runners-up were Jean Baker from Chesterfield; Chris Chantler from Bath, and Susan Spires from Reading. You can find the answers here.
This quiz made a record profit of £350 for the History Society, so thanks to everyone who bought a quiz sheet.
Our next quiz will be available in late September, but if you can’t wait, older quizzes are available free of charge on request.
